Life & career
Kim Jun-yeon took part in the February 8 Declaration of Independence and campaigned against Japanese rule as a reporter for the Chosun Ilbo and Dong-a Ilbo.
Born in Yeongam, Jeollanam-do, he studied at Tokyo Imperial University and the University of Berlin. After liberation he helped found the Korea Democratic Party, served in the first National Assembly and as Minister of Justice (1950–1951), and remained active in politics through the 1960s. He died at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, in December 1971.
Grave
He is buried in a Catholic cemetery in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do.
Descendants
He had one son, Kim Gyu-sik, and three daughters, Kim Ja-ok, Kim Ja-hyang and Kim Ja-seon (who married Kim Hong-seop).
