Yi Yong-jun (1907–1946), a native of Jecheon, joined the Singan Society while working at the Jecheon county office after graduating from Jecheon Public School. In 1930 he traveled to Manchuria as a distribution agent for the Dong-a Ilbo's Fengtian bureau, then moved via Beijing to Shanghai at the urging of fellow activist Won Sim-chang, joining the anarchist Nam Hwa Korean Youth League and the Black Terror Corps.
He threw a grenade at the Japanese consulate in Tianjin in December 1932, plotted to assassinate Japanese minister Ariyoshi Akira in Shanghai in March 1933, and killed a Korean collaborator, Yi Yong-ro, in 1935. After serving on the central committee of the Korean National Revolutionary Party from 1937, he was arrested in Beijing in 1938, extradited to Korea, and sentenced to five years in prison by the Gyeongseong District Court in 1940. He died in 1946.
