Primary consort (queen) of King Sukjong, the 19th king of Joseon

Of the Gwangsan Kim clan, she was the daughter of Kim Man-gi, Prince Gwangseong, and a descendant of Sagye Kim Jang-saeng, the great master of ritual studies. In 1671 she was chosen as crown princess consort, and the following year, when King Sukjong ascended the throne, she became queen.
She bore two daughters, but both died in childhood, and in 1680 (6th year of King Sukjong) she contracted smallpox and passed away at the young age of 20.
Her tomb is Ingneung (翼陵), located within the Seooreung royal tombs in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is designated a Historic Site.
