A Joseon ritual scholar and civil official (art name Sindokjae), enshrined at the Confucian Shrine and Royal Ancestral Shrine

Kim Jip (金集, 1574–1656) was a Joseon ritual scholar and civil official, with the art name Sindokjae (愼獨齋). The son of the great ritual scholar Sagye Kim Jang-saeng, he carried on his father's learning and brought together Joseon ritual studies (yehak) in comprehensive form.
He served as Minister of Personnel (Ijo Panseo) and others, and being renowned for his learning and virtue, he was, together with his father Kim Jang-saeng, enshrined in the Confucian Shrine (Munmyo, 文廟) and enshrined in the royal shrine of King Hyojong, and so was also honored at the Royal Ancestral Shrine (Jongmyo, 宗廟). He is the founder of the Mungyeonggong branch of the Gwangsan Kim clan.
