Jang Geum-yong (張金用) is the founding ancestor of the Senior General line (上將軍系) of the Indong Jang clan. In the early Goryeo period he served as Samjungdaegwang Senior General of the Sinho Guard (三重大匡 神虎衛 上將軍).
After settling in the area of present-day Inui-dong, Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, his descendants dwelt there for generations and formed the Oksan Jang clan (玉山張氏, Oksan being the old name for Indong); later, when Oksan was renamed Indong, they came to be called the Indong Jang clan. The Indong Jang clan comprises the Senior General line, taking Jang Geum-yong as its founding ancestor, and the Jikjehak line, taking Jang Gye (張桂) as its founding ancestor.
He is enshrined at Oksansa (玉山祠) in Inui-dong, Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, where a memorial monument (yuheobi) is also preserved.
