Life & career

Jang Myeon (張勉, 1899–1966) was a South Korean politician and educator. In the First Republic he served as the first Ambassador to the United States and as Prime Minister, and he served as Vice President.

After the April 19 Revolution, in the Second Republic he led the cabinet as Prime Minister. He was also known as a devout Catholic and an educator.
