Jeong Mok (鄭穆) was a civil official during the reign of King Munjong of Goryeo, and the figure whom the Dongnae Jeong clan takes as its third-generation restoring ancestor (jungsijo). Having passed the civil service examination, he rose to Senior Second Rank Sangseo Jwabogya (尙書左僕射, Left Vice-Director of the Department of Ministries).
His four sons—Jeong Je, Jeong Jeom, Jeong Taek, and Jeong Hang—all passed the civil service examination, laying the foundation for the Dongnae Jeong clan to establish itself as a distinguished family of Goryeo. A geomancy legend tied to the founding ancestral tomb site on Mount Hwaji in Busan is also handed down from his generation.
All four of his sons passed the civil service examination, leading the flourishing of the family.
