Go Tae-pil (高台弼) was an early-Joseon civil official of the Jeju Go clan, the eldest son of Yeonggok-gong Go Deuk-jong. His dates could not be confirmed here. A local article citing the Tamna Inmulgo says that under Sejong he entered office through his parents' merit (eumsa) as a county magistrate.
The same record says he passed the examination in 1451, the first year of Munjong, while magistrate of Gwangyang. He is said to have served afterwards as Left Vice Mayor of Hanseong, Governor of Jeolla, Magistrate of Gaeseong, Vice Minister of Personnel and Jijungchu, though exact dates were not confirmed.
His brother Go Tae-jeong placed first in the 1459 exam under Sejo and rose to Bongsangsi-jeong; Go Tae-bo reached a senior post through eumsa; and Go Tae-ik passed the exam and became a Saganwon official. In the Yeonggok-gong branch, descendants of Go Tae-pil mostly stayed on Jeju, while the others' lines spread across the country.
He became a magistrate through eumsa under Sejong and passed the examination in Munjong's first year, taking the exam after already entering office.
Go Tae-jeong rose to Bongsangsi-jeong after a first-place pass and Go Tae-ik to Sagan; all followed their father Go Deuk-jong into central office.
The Go Tae-pil line of the Yeonggok-gong branch mostly remained on Jeju, carrying on the house in the land of its founder Go Eul-la.
His tomb was not confirmed.
His descendants mostly lived on Jeju.
