Yang Seong-ji (1415–1482) was a Joseon-dynasty scholar-official who served six kings from Sejong to Seongjong, rising to the post of Minister of Personnel. Known by his pen name Nuljae, he is remembered for his vast body of writing and policy proposals on geography, history, and national defense, and is often called "the Zhuge Liang of Joseon." In 1463 he completed, together with Jeong Cheok, the Dongguk jido, considered Korea's first surveyed national map. His posthumous title was Munyang.
