Shin Yun-bok (申潤福), pen name Hyewon (蕙園), was one of the foremost genre painters of late Joseon. Together with Kim Hong-do and Kim Deuk-sin he is counted among the three great genre painters of the period, depicting the affections of men and women and everyday street life with a delicate, sensuous touch. His works include the Portrait of a Beauty (美人圖) and the National Treasure album Hyewon Jeonsincheop (蕙園傳神帖).
